So you may have noticed the blue Courier text in John's comments! Our former Rose wrote an excellent post explaining all this some time ago, so I'll just link to it. But the short version is that this is just How Homestuck Works. Observe:

this is the way i talk, in blue Courier!
no capital letters, but i don't have any really weird quirks like the trolls do.
EB: when i'm typing on the computer, my text will have "EB:" in front of it.
EB: that is short for my screen name, ectoBiologist!
When I'm threading outside Homestuck cast,I generally skip the second-person narration, because it can get a little confusing EDIT: I've gotten in the habit of using it again, actually. And I also still use the blue text for his speech, to stay consistent with the rest of the cast. If either of those bother you, though, I'm happy to leave them tags out! Just comment here with who you play (because I'm terrible at keeping track), and I'll use ordinary text/narration whenever I thread with you! (Comments are screened, so it'll just be between you and me.)
